Ice Age: Continental Drift was named the best family movie of 2012 at the 21st Annual Movieguide Faith & Values Awards Gala, beating other animated nominees Wreck-It Ralph, The Secret World of Arrietty and Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted. As for the best mature-audience film, The Avengers took the award over such nominees as The Dark Knight Rises, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
