Why does the US have a hard time getting animated films made in foreign countries? Blame it on getting the distribution rights, but there is another movie called Foosball made by Juan Jose Campanella in a joint venture between Spain and Argentina that might take some time to get here. Animation Magazine reports that Rupert Grint (aka Ron Weasley) will voice the lead Amadeo, an introverted foosball prodigy whose miniature players come to life and help him win a tournament along with his childhood sweetheart’s love. Anthony Head, Eve Ponsonby, and BBC soccer expert Jonathan Pearce round out the cast. The English-language version is headed by London’s 369 Production with an October 19 debut at the UK Film Festival.
