The latest entry in the long-running Anime series, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, topped the box office in Japan last weekend, with the movie earning about $7 million in US dollars. It was enough to beat Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph–which is called Sugar Rush! in Japan–during its second week playing in the country. Although highly popular internationally, it is highly unlikely that Battle of Gods will see a theatrical run in the states, so Dragon Ball Z fans from the US will probably have to wait for it to come to DVD.
