Speaking with a fan site for The Croods, Chris Sanders reveals some interesting trivia about another DreamWorks feature, Rise of the Guardians. Upon joining the studio in 2007, the director was apparently given a choice between The Croods and Guardians. “The Croods was the one that was up and running and ready to go,” he says. “It was actively being written at that point, and I loved the caveman thing, so I picked The Croods.” Co-directed by Kirk DeMicco, The Croods will hit theaters on March 22, while Guardians arrived on Blu-ray last Tuesday.
