Thanks to its recent 3-D re-release, Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace has now become a billionaire. The Hollywood Reporter is saying that the movie just crossed the $1 billion milestone, and that it will soon overcome The Dark Knight to become one of the ten highest grossing movies of all time in terms of worldwide receipts. In addition, Phantom Menace recently took out A New Hope at the domestic box office to become the biggest in the Star Wars franchise.
