The first trailer for DC Animation’s upcoming film The Dark Knight Returns: Part 1 has been revealed this week and can be seen over at Screen Rant. The movie is based off of Frank Miller’s critically acclaimed comic book, in which a retired Bruce Wayne is forced to bring the Batman back when Gotham is thrown into chaos. The first part will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD on September 25th (which, curiously enough, is the same day that Disney is releasing The Avengers). The second part is expected to be released in early 2013.
