John Textor, CEO of Digital Domain, has blacklisted himself in the animation community. Cartoon Brew has been following the story about how “Textor’s comments, which were made last November but leaked online last week, center around Textor telling investors that 30% of Digital Domain’s workforce would be comprised of ‘student labor that’s actually paying us for the privilege of working on our films.'” A follow up post tells about Textor’s “compensation” and Jeffrey Katzenberg indirectly addressed Textor’s scandal by saying it is good business strategy to honor employees.
