Legendary actor Ernest Borgnine, who won an Oscar for his performance in the film Marty, has passed away at age 95, The Atlantic Wire is reporting. In recent years, Borgnine was best known to both kids and cartoon fans as the voice of Mermaidman on SpongeBob SquarePants, the retired superhero is who is SpongeBob’s hero. Borgnine also lent his voice to All Dogs go to Heaven and its sequel, as well as the TV series of the same name. “I just want to do more work,” Borgnine once said. “Every time I step in front of a camera I feel young again. I really do. It keeps your mind active and it keeps you going.”
