DreamWorks Animation has announced that it will make Kung Fu Panda 3 a co-production with Oriental DreamWorks–the Shanghai divison. The movie is set for a 2016 and will see huge advertising and promotionals from the burgeoning Chinese entertainment market. This decision makes sense based on Kung Fu Panda’s success in China, spawning an unofficial sequel. Following suit, other big US entertainment companies such as Walt Disney are turning to China for more profits. China is a fresh market with the government lifting former foreign entertainment restrictions and the Chinese people are hungry for new movies and shows.
