In news that will probably sadden many, Bob Hoskins has announced that he has retired from acting, Digital Spy is reporting. The 69 year old actor is currently battling Parkinson’s disease, which he was diagnosed with last fall. “He wishes to thank all the great and brilliant people he has worked with over the years, and all of his fans who have supported him during a wonderful career,” an official statement read. “Bob is now looking forward to his retirement with his family, and would greatly appreciate that his privacy be respected at this time.” Hoskins, of course, was the star of Disney’s beloved Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and most recently appeared as one of the seven dwarfs in the worldwide box office hit Snow White and the Huntsman.
