After being in production limbo for ages, Disney’s Lone Ranger film has finally started production, CinemaBlend is reporting. After being shut down by Disney last year due to budget concerns, the western is now back on track, with Johnny Depp apparently set to take center stage as Tonto and The Social Network’s Armie Hammer in the title role. From Gore Verbinski, who just won an Oscar for Rango, The Lone Ranger is set to shoot silver bullets on the big screen just in time for Memorial Day weekend in 2013.
