A teaser image was released last year for The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra, a sequel to the hit series Avatar: The Last Airbender. At this year’s Comic-Con, Nickelodeon tempted us with the first trailer for the new series. Not much of the story is revealed in the preview or the connections to Avatar: The Last Airbender, but we do see a glimpse of a statue of Aang. The live-action film The Last Airbender by M. Night Shyamalan soured the franchise in many eyes, but Nickelodeon is sticking with the medium that works best: animation.
