The awards season has started, with the nominations for the Critics Choice Awards announced today. Five films saw nominations in the Best Animated Feature category, including Tintin, Rango, Arthur Christmas, Kung Fu Panda 2 and Puss in Boots. Gnomeo & Juliet saw a nomination for Best Song, while The Muppets was able to score three nominations in that category. The Muppets was also nominated for Best Comedy. Perhaps most notable, though, was Andy Serkis seeing a nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category for his role as Ceaser in Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The winners will be announced on January 12th.
