As was expected by almost everyone, Disney’s Winnie the Pooh ended up being no match for Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Part II this weekend, ComingSoon.Net is reporting. While the final Harry Potter film saw the biggest opening weekend of all time with $168 million (beating 2008’s The Dark Knight), Pooh saw one of the lowest openings that Disney’s seen for a film from their Feature Animation division in years with a debut of $8 million. On the plus side, Pooh had a fairly modest $30 million production budget, something that it will easily collect back once DVD sales come into play.
