In its second weekend of release, Toy Story 3 continued to rule the box office battlefield, earning an estimated $59 million. It was enough to beat the strong opening of the Adam Sandler comedy Grown Ups and the smaller than anticipated debut of the Tom Cruise actioner Knight and Day. Currently standing with a total of $226 million, Toy Story 3 is expected to make even more money during next week’s holiday weekend, even with it facing competition for its 3-D screens and target family audience when The Last Airbender opens on Thursday.
