Productivity and Graphics Group today announced the international availability of Poser 8, the next generation of the popular and affordable 3D figure design and animation solution. Poser 8 is now available in French and German language versions, offering an intuitive 3D character solution for hobbyists exploring 3D graphics for personal entertainment, as well as meeting the needs of experienced digital artists and creative professionals.
Poser acts as a virtual stage that lets artists build 3D photorealistic or stylized art and animation in minutes for personal or professional projects. Poser 8 offers eight new ready-to-pose, fully textured 3D humans of different ethnicities and body types to give artists a starting point in designing their characters.
The new streamlined interface maximizes screen real estate and provides an intuitive workflow, while a new search-enabled library helps artists easily find, organize and use their content. Poser 8 also optimizes performance, allowing artists to pose characters and render them faster on today’s multiple processor systems.
New professional quality tools and features are included in Poser 8, such as a dependent parameter tool that lets users teach objects in the scene to interact with each other simplifying complex body movement. Other features include cross body morph brushes that permit a user to smoothly sculpt a figure across every body part, new photorealistic rendering to more accurately reproduce light and shadows, and improved character rigging for better character bending.
Pricing and Availability:
The MSRP for Poser 8 for Mac or PC is $249.99 with upgrades from previous versions priced at $129.99. An upgrade to Poser 8 will be offered to users with a valid serial number from Poser 4 or higher.
