Mike Johnson (Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride) is set to direct an edgy stop-motion/CGI feature film inspired by The Wizard of Oz called Oz Wars, MovieWeb is reporting. Described as “a freaky action-packed audience pleaser,” the story will involve Dorothy finding herself in a very different version of the Land of Oz, which will now feature warrior witches, black magic and monsters. The project, said to be going for a PG-13 rating, is being produced by Vanguard Animation (Valiant). It is currently without a release date.
