Cinema’s most popular giant ape is set to pound his chest in high def for the first time when the original 1933 King Kong comes to Blu-Ray on September 28th, DVD Active is reporting. The live action/stop-motion animated release will feature the same extras which were included on the 2005 special edition DVD, including a 7-part documentary, a commentary by Ray Harryhausen and Ken Ralston, a re-imagining of the movie’s lost spider pit sequence, and more.
