Arguing that many movies released this year haven’t been getting the greatest reviews from critics so far, Entertainment Weekly believes that Toy Story 3 should maybe be considered an early contender for a Best Picture nomination at the Academy Awards in 2011. On the subject of that possibly happening, Pixar Oscar campaign organizer Tony Angellotti said “I don’t know what we can do but wait at this point and hope for what happened with Up, which is that the movie just kept going.” The article also points out that it could find competition for its Academy Awards buzz soon, with Christopher Nolan’s Inception coming out in just a few weeks and already getting strong early feedback.
