Collider reports that Disney has announced its plans to re-release the classic Beauty and the Beast in a very limited theatrical run. The feature will be screened in 2D format but has received an HD makeover and will run in select theaters from September 29th though October 2nd in the sing-along format. The 3D re-release of the film is expected in 2012.
