Henry Selick’s new stop-motion feature Coraline opens in both traditional and 3D theaters today. Based on Neil Gaiman’s novel of the same name, Coraline is currently fairing extremely well with film critics, earning an 88% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. One reviewer calls it “a visually stunning family-oriented fantasy that will simultaneously enchant kids and creep out parents”. Box office projections such as The Box Office Guru and Blog Critics guess that Coraline‘s weekend intake might be around $9 to $11.5 million.
