Variety reports that Ari Folman’s Waltz with Bashir tied with Man on Wire for Distinguished Feature honors at the International Documentary Association Awards on friday. Based on the haunting dreamscapes and harrowing memories of the early 1980s Lebanon war in which Folman fought as an Israeli soldier, Waltz with Bashir opens in theatres on December 25.
