According to The Hollywood Reporter, Walden Media, Fox 2000 and the Jim Henson Co. are teaming up for a film adaptation of Edward Gorey’s 1957 illustrated book The Doubtful Guest. “The whimsical story revolves around a quirky family whose life is turned upside down when a mysterious, mischievous creature arrives unannounced and unwelcome, bringing trouble with him and wreaking havoc.” Although the motion picture will be live-action, Henson will utilize plenty of computer animation and animatronics to craft the film’s creature.
