DVDActive reports that Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Surf’s Up on 9th October 2007. Directed by Ash Brannon and Chris Buck, the movie will be available in a 2-disc special edition. DVD extras include Filmmaker Commentary, “Not A Drop of Real Water” – Three-part behind-the-scenes documentary, The ChubbChubbs Save XMAS – All new animated short, and much more. A Blu-ray release will also be made available on the same day.
