AWN reports that the North American version of the animated film Persepolis will feature the voices of Sean Penn and Iggy Pop. Based on Iranian author Marjane Satrapi’s graphic novel of the same name, Perspolis tells the true story of a girl and her upbringing during Islamic revolution in Iran. Winner of jury prize at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, Persepolis will be released by Sony Pictures Classics later this year.
