The Wall Street Journal addresses Warner Bros.’ plans to release a line of direct-to-video films through the Warner Premiere label. Along with the animated Superman: Doomsday, a prequel to Scooby-Doo (2002) is being prepared. While specifics on the title are still unknown, one rumor suggests that the movie could be inspired by the series A Pup Named Scooby-Doo. Interestingly, the Journal article also features a list of Disney’s top-grossing direct-to-video films in the past five years. With approximately $153.2 million, The Lion King 1 1/2 takes the top of the chart.
