ComingSoon reports that Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan and game studio Capcom are set to produce an animated film based on the Resident Evil franchise, which is currently titled Biohazard: Degeneration. While there is no set release date, a late 2008 opening is suggested in the article. The film will be created using CGI, and is planned on being shown in 3D.
