New York, N.Y., – Pratt Institute is pleased to present Pratt Show 2007, an annual exhibition of the best design work by 500 of Pratt’s graduating students at The Manhattan Center, located at 311 West 34th Street, from May 8-May 10. The show is free and open to the public.

There will be a special cocktail reception and private viewing for design industry professionals from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8. Tickets are free but required for entry to the reception. For tickets go to: www.pratt.edu/show or call 718-636-3506 (press #2).

The exhibition, juried by Pratt faculty, will feature the best work by students in various programs at Pratt including advertising, graphic design, illustration, industrial design, interior design, packaging design, jewelry design, digital arts and animation.

Pratt Show 2007 is designed to give industry professionals and the public a chance to see the best work of students in Pratt’s design programs, many of whom will go on to become masters of advertising and graphic design, animation and special effects leaders, talents in interior and furniture design, creators of must-have products, and illustrators who bring stories to life.

In 2006, over 600 representatives from 400 companies visited the Pratt Show as a result of its reputation for displaying the freshest new talent in art and design in New York City.

For the general public, the exhibition will be open on Tuesday, May 8 from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; Wednesday, May 9 from 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. and Thursday, May 10 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Photography is not permitted.

The Manhattan Center is two blocks from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden and is easily accessible by subway and car. Closest subways are the A, C, E, 1, 2, 3 at 34th Street stations. There are parking lots on 33rd and 34th streets near 8th and 9th Avenues.
