Pratt Institute seniors to visually engage New York audiences
with cutting edge film, video, and animation in Brooklyn, Manhattan



New York, N.Y. – Pratt Institute’s Department of Media Arts will present the extraordinary work of its 2007 graduating seniors in film, video, and animation to New York City audiences in Manhattan and Brooklyn from April 16 through May 12, 2007. The eclectic body of work to be shown embodies the many visions and dreams of an extremely talented group of emerging filmmakers.

The 2007 Pratt Senior Showcase, a screening of the best thesis films and video projects by graduating seniors, will take place in the historic Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) Rose Cinema at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7. A screening of all senior film and video thesis projects will be held at 2 p.m. earlier that day.

The 2007 Pratt Animation Show will take place at 7:00 p.m. on both Friday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5 at the Two Boots Pioneer Theater in Manhattan. There will be an additional screening of the 2007 Pratt Animation Show at the Sony Wonder Theater in Midtown at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12.

All screenings are free and open to the public; however to get tickets to the Senior Showcase on May 7, at 7:30 p.m., BAM Rose Cinema, people must call 718-636-3633 for tickets on the morning of the screening.
