Ghibli World reports that a joint project between Ioue Naohisa and Studio Ghibli named Iblard Jikan will be released on DVD in Japan on July 4th as a part of Studio Ghibli’s Ghibli ga Ippai Collection. Ioue Naohisa is known for his fantasy artwork in the 1995 Studio Ghibli film Whisper Of The Heart. The website also suggests that Iblard Jikan is about Inoue’s imaginary world Iblard. On the same day, Ghibli’s latest feature film Gedo Senki (Tales From Earthsea) will be released on DVD in Japan as well. Directed by Hayao Miyazaki’s son Goro Miyazaki, Gedo Senki had received a lukewarm response in Japan on its release in 2006 and is yet to see a US release.
