While Disney does confirm that the second DVD set for The Tick will once again drop an episode from that season, fans will still likely be otherwise happy to see more of The Big Blue Bug Of Justice reach DVD on August 7. Incidentally, the second volume of Darkwing Duck will be coming that same day. Click here for the Tick Vs. Season Two press release:

The Tick Vs.
Season Two DVD
BURBANK, Calif., May 6, 2007 – The Tick Vs. Season Two will burrow into your comedic veins with its August 7th 2-disc DVD debut from Buena Vista Home Entertainment. The cartoon crime-stopper in blue tights–– flanked by motley crew Arthur The Moth, American Maid and Die Fliedermaus–– stings The City’s evildoers in a dozen episodes. That’s 255 minutes of side-splitting hilarity. To complete the package, the DVD features all-new box art illustrated by Tick creator Ben Edlund and a collectible lithograph.
The Tick Vs. Season Two is crawling with inanity, insanity, and fun! Famous inventors help the blue bug and friends battle a history-changing super-villain in Leonardo da Vinci and His Fightin’ Genius Time Commandos; in The Tick Loves Santa, an evil St. Nick has discovered a way to clone himself; The Tick vs. The Big Nothing pits two groups of aliens against one another in a struggle to save the universe, with the Tick and Arthur caught in the middle.
Voiceover veteran Townsend Coleman (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,Fraggle Rock, Late Night With Conan O’Brien) brings The Tick to life. Rob Paulsen (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Fox And The Hound 2) voices Arthur The Moth. Kay Lenz (Jag) is American Maid, with Cam Clarke (W.I.T.C.H. and Barnyard) speaking for Die Fliedermaus.
Broadcast on TV from 1994 to 1996, The Tick was originally conceived as a comic book by TV writer/producer Ben Edlund (Angel and Firefly).
Tick Vs. Season Two retails for $34.99 in the U.S. and $37.99 in Canada.
