On August 8, 2006, TMZ.com reported that Robert Zemeckis was seriously considering moving his ImageMovers production company to The Walt Disney Co., in a multi-year deal. Now, via a press release at Coming Soon, word arrives that the team of Robert Zemeckis, Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey is setting up a new performance capture film company at Disney. The move was jointly announced by Zemeckis and Dick Cook, chairman of the Walt Disney Studios. Under the deal, Zemeckis, Rapke and Starkey will produce all of the films, several of which Zemeckis is expected to direct. Disney will distribute and market the motion pictures worldwide.
