With SCI FI Wire, the creators of Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender, Mike DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, reveal tremendous enthusiasm for their series’ film adaptation, to be helmed by M. Night Shyamalan. “The movie is in the earliest stages, so it is too soon to comment on exactly what we will be doing,” notes Konietzko. “However, Mike and I have met with Night and, on top of really admiring his craft, he is a great guy who really respects the material.” Furthermore, DiMartino hypes this season’s finale for Avatar, while also explaining his and Konietzko’s approach in developing the show’s stories.
