The Digital Bits has posted a transcript from last night’s Home Theater Forum chat with animation and television representatives of Warner Bros’ Home Entertainment. As it turns out, Tom & Jerry – Spotlight Collection Volume 3, The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians and Aquaman will be released later in 2007, while Tiny Toons is looking for a 2008 DVD debut. Looney Tunes – Golden Collection Volume 5 will hit stores this holiday season, carrying 60 remastered shorts on four DVDs. Furthermore, a 50th Anniversary release of The Bugs Bunny Show is in consideration. Interestingly, it was hinted that a DVD release for either The Smurfs, Pac Man or The Plastic Man Comedy Adventure Hour could be announced at this year’s Comic-Con.
In the meantime, titles being looked at for possible DVD releases in the near future are the animated adaptation of Shazam!, Cow And Chicken, The Zeta Project, Gilligan’s Planet, Thundarr the Barbarian, widescreen epsiodes of Teen Titans, Herculoids, Sea Lab 2020, Duck Dodgers, ’80s episodes of The Jetson’s and Jonny Quest, The Pebbles and Bam Bam Show, Dexter’s Laboratory and Johnny Bravo. Unfortunately, series that appear unlikely for DVD premieres or continuations presently include Static Shock, Huckleberry Hound, Fish Police, Bucky O’Hare, Quick Draw McGraw and Captain Planet.
