Opening in 3,928 theaters this weekend is DreamWorks Animation’s Bee Movie. Featuring writing and voice acting from Jerry Seinfeld, the computer animated film is receiving a mixed reception from critics. Metacritic results show Bee Movie with a score of 54. Meanwhile, Rotten Tomatoes has a 51% average for the film, with its “Cream of the Crop” section showing a 47% rating.

Nonetheless, how will Bee Movie fare in theaters? While the IMDB Studio Briefing predicts that American Gangster could give the film some healthy competition, Box Office Report and Box Office Guru both believe Bee Movie will take the #1 spot this weekend. Analysts suspect it could collect between $40 – $42 million by Monday.
