DreamWorks Animation’s short film First Flight has finally received its own official website. In addition to playing the film festival circuit, the award-winning tale debuted last May in select theaters with the feature Over the Hedge. DreamWorks Animation Launches First Flight Website

The official website for DreamWorks Animation’s award-winning short film First Flight just launched at http://www.firstflightshort.com/. There you can learn more about First Flight and its creators, view an exclusive clip from the short, and check out which festivals it is screening at next.

Written and directed by two longtime DreamWorks Animation veterans, Cameron Hood and Kyle Jefferson, First Flight tells the story of a fastidiously organized businessman, whose perspective on life is forever changed through an unexpected encounter with a tiny fledgling bird.

First Flight opened in select New York and Los Angeles theatres last May, together with DreamWorks Animation’s hit animated comedy Over the Hedge.

It has since screened at many film festivals including Anima Mundi in Rio de Janeiro (where it won the Best Short Film award), the Solstice Film Festival (Best Animation award), the Palm Springs Shorts Fest (Favorite Animated Short), the Tribeca Film Festival, the Toronto’s Rebelfest (Best Short of the Year), and the Seattle International Film Festival.

First Flight is currently playing at the Vancouver International Film Festival and will next be seen at the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival.
