Variety.com notes that Gumby is making a return to television, set to star in a future animated series and direct-to-video movie. The projects will be produced by Joe Clokey, son of Gumby creator Art Clokey. In addition, the claymation character is at the center of new licensing and marketing partnerships with national advertisers. Meanwhile, Classic Media will now manage rights to the 223 episodes of The Gumby Show, thanks to a deal with Premavision, the owner of Gumby.
