A random post at the Internet Movie Database states that the official trailer for Disney/C.O.R.E.’s The Wild will be in theaters and online beginning Monday, January 9th. Interestingly, the film was absent from the Disney/Touchstone 2006 Preview released yesterday, at Coming Soon.

Update! A press release from the Starz Entertainment Group LLC, posted at Coming Soon, reveals that a 1:40 teaser trailer for The Wild will air on Starz (7:15 pm), Starz Kids & Family (5:30 pm), and Starz Comedy (10:00 pm), this upcoming Monday, January 9th. Furthermore, the release lists the film’s impressive voice cast as such: “Kiefer Sutherland (as the respected lion leader), Greg Cipes (as Samson’s rebellious son, Ryan), Jim Belushi (as Benny, the street smart squirrel and Samson’s best friend), Janeane Garofalo (as a pampered giraffe), Richard Kind (as a dim-witted anaconda), William Shatner (as a wicked wildebeest), and Eddie Izzard (as Nigel, an acerbic koala).” On a note of speculation, it is likely that the trailer for The Wild will premiere in theaters with Disney’s Glory Road, opening next Friday.
