Jerry Seinfeld speaks with USA Today, regarding the trailer for Bee Movie. The ad, which debuted in theaters and online last week, purposely fails to show any footage from the future DreamWorks animated film. Instead, it reveals Seinfield, Chris Rock and numerous other actors dressed in insect costumes, leading up to a hilarious gag that involves a giant windshield. “It’s a chance to be funny and spend someone else’s money,” Seinfeld jokes. “Let’s face it; if it was just a regular trailer cut with footage of the film, you and I wouldn’t be sitting here talking about it.” This Bee Movie teaser is the first of two, with the follow-up ad set to premiere in February.
