On Thursday, Roy Disney was honored with a lifetime achievement award at the 10th Cartoons on the Bay festival, reports Yahoo! Movies. The award marked a career that began in 1954, when the honoree an became an assistant film editor. Part of the event’s festivities included a screening of the Oscar-nominated short Destino, which Roy Disney executive produced. The film, along with documentary footage of its making, will be released on DVD later this year.
