Of interest to animation fans at this year’s Newport Beach Film Festival are Jim Henson’s The Muppet Musicans of Bremen on April 22 at 10:30am, Short Animation-o-Rama on April 22 at 4:30pm, Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation (12-yr. old boys remake Indiana Jones’ first movie and get Steven Spielberg’s approval) on April 24 at 8:00pm, and Shorts for Shorties on April 29 at 1:30pm. Both shorts programs feature Henry Selick’s recent CGI short Moongirl.
