In other Ratatouille news, it seems that The Incredibles director Brad Bird is now either directing or co-directing the project, which Geri’s Game director Jan Pinkava was working on. Following its reporting of that news, Cartoon Brew noticed this posting at the Animation Guild Log: “I’d heard a few weeks ago that the film was having some problems, and that Brad had been called in for a major revision, but I figured they’d find a way to keep Jan Pinkava (original director) a part of things.”

In the meantime, Rapunzel was confirmed as still being on, with the project featuring an interesting blend of computer and traditional animation “unlike anything you’ve ever seen.” It was also revealed at the shareholders’ meeting that Song of the South will not be coming to DVD any time soon, as Ultimate Disney clarifies.
