In a close race, Hoodwinked beat The Family Stone to claim the top spot on the DVD sales chart for the week ending May 7. In comparison, The Family Stone collected $60.1 million at the box office, while Hoodwinked earned $51.2 million. On Home Media Retailing’s rental chart, The Family Stone came in first place with $7.7 million, as Hoodwinked finished at a respectable #8 with $4.3 million. In the meantime, Dinosaurs — The Complete First and Second Seasons entered the sales chart at #11 – a surprisingly well DVD debut for a 15 year-old television series.
