According to Ma. Lourdes Gopalan, board member and education committee head of the Animation Council of the Philippines Inc. (ACPI), the call for animation services from the Philippines is assuredly looking to rise, should current trends remain. Furthmore, Gopalan states, the global animation industry may reach the $50 billion mark worldwide within the next couple of years. Among the studios requesting such services are Disney, Warner Brothers, HBO, Cartoon Network, and Marvel Comics. Sun.Star General Santos has more on this story.
