STARZ KIDS & FAMILY AND COMCAST PRESENT
THE ARKANSAS PREMIERE SCREENING OF
“ELOISE: LITTLE MISS CHRISTMAS”
Arkansas Native Mary Matilyn Mouser, the Voice of Eloise,
Guest of Honor at Dec. 16 Screening
Arkansas native Mary Matilyn Mouser is the voice of “Eloise,” the new animated series on Starz Kids & Family and available to purchase on DVD.
Englewood, Colo., Dec. 11, 2006 – Starz Kids & Family and Comcast will present the Arkansas premiere screening of “Eloise: Little Miss Christmas” Saturday, Dec. 16 at 10 a.m. at the Arkansas Arts Center Lecture Hall in Little Rock. Arkansas native Mary Matilyn Mouser, the voice behind Starz Kids & Family’s new exclusive “Eloise” series, will be the special guest of honor.
A Pine Bluff, Ark. native, Mouser started her career at the age of six when she was chosen as a photo-double for Mel Gibson’s daughter in Signs. Mouser has done voice work for many animated features such as Bambi 2, Tarzan 2, Pompoko, and The Fox and the Hound 2. She has also appeared in guest starring roles on “CSI,” “Without a Trace,” “King of Queens,” “Monk,” “Inconceivable,” “Scrubs,” “One Life to Live,” and currently has a recurring role on “NCIS” as Mark Harmon’s daughter. At the recent KIDS FIRST! Best of Fest Awards, the KIDS FIRST! Film and Video Festival recently awarded Mouser with the Outstanding Performance Award for her voiceover work in “Eloise.”
“We were immediately impressed with Mary Matilyn Mouser,” said Wes Archer, director of “Eloise.” “Like Eloise, she is a very animated girl and her charisma came through in a performance that truly brings Eloise to life.”
The magic of Kay Thompson’s storytelling and Hilary Knight’s breathtaking illustrations come to life in the “Eloise” series and DVDs, the first-ever animated series based on the classic best-selling children’s books. Produced by Film Roman, a Starz Media company, in association with Handmade Films, “Eloise” features the star-studded voice over talent of two-time Oscar©-nominee Lynn Redgrave (Georgy Girl, Gods and Monsters), Tim Curry (The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Annie), Matthew Lillard (She’s All That, Scooby Doo), Curtis Armstrong (Revenge of the Nerds), and young actress Mouser as Eloise.
With New York City’s Plaza Hotel as the backdrop, “Eloise” features the precocious and irrepressible little girl who reigns as its unofficial princess. Residing in the hotel with her “rawther” British Nanny and her pets, Weenie the pug and Skipperdee the turtle, Eloise is the quintessential “city child.” There is never a dull moment for Eloise as she stays busy, busy, busy roaming the floors of the hotel, plaguing the hotel staff and being absolutely mischievous.
“Eloise” airs exclusively on Starz Kids & Family. Watch the entire series during the “New Year’s Day ‘Eloise’ Marathon” beginning at 6 a.m. (ET/PT) on Monday, Jan. 1, 2007 or visit www.starzkidsfamily.com for additional scheduling information.
“Eloise” is also available to view on Starz On Demand and download on Vongo, the video download service. Starz Home Entertainment released the specials “Me, Eloise” and “Eloise: Little Miss Christmas” on DVD in October.
