Moviehole provides an update on the status of a sequel to the 2001 hit Cats & Dogs. In an interview with Film Monthly, director John Whiteshell admitted to no longer being involved in the project. Nonetheless, visual effects house Tippett Studios’ supervisor, Todd LaBonte, recently disclosed, “There is a sequel, we did tests for it. It has been put on the backburner. We’ve got a different cast of cats and dogs this time. Apparently the sequel is still going to happen but it won’t be with the same voice cast now.”
