The National Board of Review has named Disney/Pixar’s Cars the “Best Animated Feature” of 2006. Thus far, the awards have been a reliable predictor of the Oscar winner for the “Animated” category, with the exception of 2005, when the board awarded Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride the honor. The Academy Award that year, however, went to Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.
