Reuters via Yahoo! Movies reports that Cars took the top spot on the national DVD sales chart, selling approximately 5 million DVDs in its first two days of release. The film also proved strong on Home Media Magazine’s video rental chart, coming in at #2, with an estimated $9.2 million. It is worth noting that anyone still wishing to buy Cars might be interested in a new offer from Energizer. PR Newswire explains that with the purchase of the DVD and three multi-packs of Energizer Max batteries, one can receive a “one-of-a-kind, specially-designed Cars DVD case.” The offer will end December 31.
