Reuters reports that Universal Studios and Mattel Inc. are teaming to bring consumers more adventures from the world of Barbie. Previously, Lionsgate served distributor duties for the popular Barbie DTV line of movies, in a deal that ended last month due to disagreement over terms. The first Barbie title to be released by Universal will be Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses. Furthermore, the studio is planning to release a DTV line of Polly Pocket tales, with the first being PollyWorld.
