King Kong remained in the #1 spot at last weekend’s box office, with $21,259,320 from 3,576 theaters, for a total domestic gross of $108,582,050. Not far behind was The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which roared with $19,777,962 from 3,853 theaters, making its U.S. total $153,220,802. At #16, the IMAX re-release of The Polar Express pulled in $954,725 from 66 theaters, bringing its domestic re-release intake to $7,580,970. Meanwhile, Chicken Little came in at #19, hatching $432,624 from 874 theaters. Thus far, its domestic total box office gross is $130,023,971. In the meantime, Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit captured the #27 position, with $73,134 from 327 theaters, for a U.S. intake of $55,682,605.
